Weather in Phi Phi and Phuket
Phi Phi enjoys a typically tropical climate with 3 fairly distinct seasons - hot from March through May, wet from June to September, and cool from October through February. Temperatures vary from 27C up to 35C. The "wet" season is actually pretty decent most of the time, with more sun than rain, and it is rare that the weather is really bad. Just be aware that Phi Phi is only reachable by boat, so some days may be a little rough! Best time to visit is November - April.
Diving continues year round in Phi Phi and Phuket. Day trips around these areas run every day, as the sea conditions are very rarely too rough. There are some bouncy days in the low season, and seasickness tablets are available on the boats. Trips further afield to Hin Daeng or the Similan Islands are only available from October - May.
For visitors, the heat is noticeable, and you should avoid sunbathing at midday, be sure to use sun cream, and drink plenty of water. Stay healthy and you will enjoy your stay in Thailand much more! Divers should be especially aware of dehydration - all boats will provide free drinking water. We suggest you limit your intake of alcohol and caffeine during your stay.
